Attached are Video and Power Point of English Learning Portfolios by Civil Engineering Students First Semester 2018 of Technical Faculty at Tangerang Muhammadiyah University. The learning system used Publipreneur-Based Language Learning (PBLL) a Thematic Approach for Vocational Learners of Non-Native Speakers in Indonesia. The use of PBLL is aimed at massively introducing Doctoral Research Finding the State University of Jakarta 2016 entitled: Bahan Ajar Bahasa Inggris untuk Tujuan Khusus Pendidikan Wirausaha Penerbitan di Politeknik Negeri Media Kreatif, and already published into printed book by Muhammadiyah University Press 2018, entited: Publipreneur-Based Language Learning (PBLL) Pembelajaran Bahasa Pendekatan Wirausaha Penerbitan, Sebuah Metode Tematik, Vokasi.
The learning process was executed through performing lecturer’s roles as facilitators, motivators, and innovators for the students as an endless learning community to follow the road of learning cycles approached to the publishing competencies ranging from Prewriting-Drafting-Revising-Editing-Publishing-Marketing-Delivering. The learning materials consist of (1) tracing short article about civil engineering, (2) listing vocabulary words newly found by the readers, (3) Building 5WH Questions and Answers based on article, Identifying verbal and nominal sentences in article, (4) changing sentence into active-passive-active, (5) classifying sentences into tenses or grammatical structure, (6) translating article into Indonesia, (7) giving opinion the reasons of using tenses by the author.
The language assessment here is the learner’s ability to read, to write, to listen, and to speak that have been sharpened through the learning process of Prewriting-Drafting-Revising-Editing-Publishing-Marketing-Delivering. All material have been presented by a group of work in class and got feedback from the rest audience as student-adjudicators. Meanwhile the video can be a personal works of each student to be put in blog.
